The Tourism Vancouver visitor centre was in need of a digital signage solution that would not only add visual appeal to the centre, but would encourage tourists to seek out and act on all that the city has to offer. They were looking for a robust, scalable solution to manage their daily needs and grow with them into the future.
10net provided Tourism Vancouver with a network of screens powered using Scala Content Manager with several customized Scala scripts. Custom built 9 output media player running 1080p drives the impressive 3×3 video wall at a true 5760×3240 pixel resolution, and another 6 output player drives the 22 foot long vertical array of LCD panels. Content on these screens can be displayed in any configuration. After just a few short months, the new multi-channel customer engagement centre had already recognized an increase in transactions by 25% – an impressive feat considering the overall square footage of guest space decreased by 2/3.With the addition of the technology, there are inherent efficiencies with the smaller footprint; more intimate and engaged experiences.
